Central Maryland Radiation Oncology is a unique partnership jointly owned by University of Maryland Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Medicine. We offer advanced care that is close to home. Our Expertise includes the latest options in radiation therapy, including in some cases clinical trials that are only available at academic medical centers. We offer advanced and comprehensive therapies to patients with all stages and types of cancer.

Available Resources are provided in our comfortable and convenient facility in the Medical Pavilion on the campus of Howard County General Hospital. Our team of radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, and oncology nurses combines compassionate care with advanced medical treatment for the best patient outcomes.

Coordination of Care with our excellent community physician partners is vitally important to provide full spectrum patient care. Our physicians and staff participate in all Howard County General Hospital tumor boards to ensure a coordinated, well planned multidisciplinary approach to each patient’s care.

Telemedicine Technology allows our expert physicians to work closely with other academic cancer experts at University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins. Using the latest teleconferencing technology, our physicians review patient cases with additional oncology specialists to evaluate and consider all treatment options available at Central Maryland Radiation Oncology, as well as at University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins. In this way, we offer patients the best, most comprehensive cancer care possible.

Clinical Trials are an important advantage of receiving care at Central Maryland Radiation Oncology. We offer patients access to many of the 125 clinical trials currently being conducted at University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center and Johns Hopkins Medicine. In this way, our patients may be eligible for new treatments not yet available elsewhere. Our staff research associate coordinates clinical trial participation for those patients who are interested.
